Stephanie received
a BA in vocal performance from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA
with a minor in piano. After a year working towards a Masters in Church
Music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, she went on the
road with her band as lead vocalist playing in clubs, casinos, parks and
fairs, including many corporate engagements. As God was preparing her
for her current job as Director of Music at Northwood, she feels equally
comfortable with both classical and pop music which serves both
traditional and contemporary services.
Stephanie also received certification in the pre-K Musikgarten
Curriculum and studied conducting at USF in the masters program. She
became part-time children’s music director in 1999 and full time
Director of Music in 2001 developing 4 hand bell groups (2 youth and 2
adult), youth choir, and directs the adult Chancel Choir and the praise
band, Voices In Praise. Stephanie’s husband, Jim, passed away 5/10/08 of
cancer. She has two grown children, Cambia and Cody.

Cheryl has been
the organist at Northwood for over 9 years. She feels privileged
to be part of such a loving church family and excellent music
program. Cheryl earned a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from The
University of Tampa and holds the certificate C.A.G.O. (Colleague
of the American Guild of Organists.) Cheryl and husband, Todd, an
occupational health and safety consultant, have a grown son,
Jeff. Jeff's Black Lab, Zach, has been a special addition to the
family.

Vicki has been with
Kid’s Corner for 14 years. She was a teacher for her first 4 yrs. and
has been the Director ever since. She is beginning her 15th year. She
has her B.A. in Art Education and her CDA in Early Childhood Education.
Under her guidance Kids’ Corner rose to the highest level of quality by
earning accreditation from N.A.E.Y.C (National Association for the
Education of Young Children) the premiere accreditation for Pre-school
in the Nation. We also earned the “Gold Seal Quality of Care” from the
state of Florida. Kid’s Corner is a pre-school designed to enrich the
lives of children in the light of God’s love and to prepare them for
Kindergarten.

Shannon Dunphy

Shannon has a BSW (bachelor in
Social Work) form the University of South Florida. Shannon is
celebrating walking into her third year as director of Before/After
School and Summer Camp Program after coming on board in April of 2006.
Shannon has worked with this program for many years back from 1994
through 2000. Shannon is married and is expecting her first child this
November.

Carole has
an A.A.S. degree (Associate in Applied Science) and a B.S. (Bachelor of
Science) in Business Administration. Her sons (Shane, fifteen and
Brendan, thirteen) participated in both the Before / Aftercare and
Summer Camp programs. She joined the Northwood office staff as a
part-time Accounting Clerk in November of 2005. This relationship has
blossomed into serving Northwood as Administrator for Finance and
Records.

Janice joined the
Northwood staff in March 2005 as Director of Children’s Music while
completing her music degree. She graduated from Clearwater Christian
College in May 2008 with a BS in Church Music and a Minor in Bible. In
June 2008 she accepted a call to become Northwood’s Director of
Children’s Ministries. Her responsibilities will cover all areas of
children’s ministry, allowing her to minister in her two favorite areas:
education and music.
Janice previously
served in two area Presbyterian Churches as Music Director and is an
ordained Elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. Ever since high school she has taught Sunday School, VBS, and
children’s Bible clubs, and also designed curriculum for and taught
children’s worship and Adult Bible studies. Janice
has been a choir member and soloist for 35 years, and has enjoyed
involvement with area performing groups.
Janice
is delighted to be part of such a wonderful church family, and adores
working with the children of Northwood and their families. She resides
in Seminole with her husband, Joe, who works as Executive Web Producer
for Bay News 9 and adjunct professor at the University of Tampa.
Jennifer and Jim, their two grown children, live locally.

Lois Parry joined the
NPC staff Feb 19, 2007 as our Administrative Assistant. She does all
the church publications, as well as general office duties and special
projects.
She most recently served
the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Tarpon Springs (1995-2006) and
before that Trinity Presbyterian Church in Clearwater (1988-1995. Lois
resides in New Port Richey with her husband, Chuck. She has two grown
children, and three grandchildren. She loves her job, and the people
here at Northwood have made her feel very welcome.

Alice Beck hails from New Jersey where she
taught kindergarten and raised three children. She and husband Bob have
been members at Northwood for 14years. Alice is a Stephen Minister, is
in the Esther/Elizabeth Circle, and hosts one of our Fireside Groups
(Women’s Bible Studies). Alice has been on our Nursery team for 2 years
and LOVES it. She also loves to read, shop, and play on her computer.
She and Bob have 8 grandchildren.

As Membership
Coordinator, Ellen Stoup works very closely with the Membership and
Evangelism Ministry Team reaching out to our visitors, assists with
the assimilation of our new members, and maintains our membership
rolls.
Before her
retirement in 2005, she was employed as an Executive Assistant to one
of the General Partners at the New York Yankees in Tampa. Ellen lives
in Clearwater, has two grown sons and four grandchildren. She is
honored to be able to work with the people at Northwood and loves
being a part of such a caring and loving congregation.
